How to Replace the Flexscreen on Your Double-Hung Windows - Step 1: Open Windows and Slide Screen

Open Windows and Slide Screen

Open the window so you can reach the screen. On a double-hung window, we recommend opening the top sash. Gently press the palm of your hand against the middle of the screen so the sides begin to flex inward.

Lift Screen Out of Track

Grasp both sides of the screen, flexing it inward and lifting the bottom corners out of the track. Continue to compress the sides of the screen and remove it through the window opening.

Reinstall FlexScreen®

To re-install the FlexScreen®, grasp the longest sides of the screen and flex it inward 4-6 inches so it can be fed through the window opening.

Guide Corners into Track

Guide the bottom corners into the track and then guide in the top corners. Release the sides of the screen into the side tracks. You can now close your window.

Note: Do not lean against screens, they do not act as safety barriers.
